Gordon was a highly successful college coach! He led Harvard to 9 Ivy League titles; the most in Harvard women’s tennis history. He also won championships at the University at Albany and the University of the Pacific. Gordon coached many All-Conference players, three All-Americans and one who reached #65 in the world rankings. His Harvard teams reached the NCAA Championships Round of 16 twice, both times losing to the eventual champs, Stanford, and were ranked as high as #9 in the nation.
Gordon is experienced at coaching all ages and abilities. He founded, directed and taught large tennis programs for recreational-level players: The Tennis Camps at Harvard and Graham Community Tennis.
Gordon specializes in working with teams, junior development, preparing junior players for college tennis and in USTA 10-and-Under Tennis.

Match Play Evaluation/Analysis
- Gordon will observe your match play; chart your matches; identify strengths and weaknesses.
- He will prepare a written evaluation and ‘game plan’ with recommendations for strategic, tactical and technical courses of action. This will help you laser focus your training and speed your improvement.
Video Analysis
- Gordon will video tape all your basic strokes.
- He will provide an analysis of those strokes, along with recommendations of technical changes to make, done by one of the nation’s top teachers of tennis teachers, Steve Smith.
- He will provide the follow through in lessons that you will need to help you make those changes.

High School and College Coaches
- Coach Consulting: Gordon will do a 1- or 2-day consultation with you in which he observes your team, shares coaching ideas, answers any questions you have re: coaching, provides good resources, and offers any other assistance or advice to help you become a more effective coach. Also, he will consult on building a vibrant tennis camp if you want.
- Camps: Gordon will do a 1- to 3- day ‘camp’ with your team. You provide the players, the balls and the courts. He will travel to you and run drills and strategy sessions, and introduce your team to high-level tactics they can employ. Your program will get exposure to next-level training that is sure to help boost your program.
